⚓ Gdynia (Right at Your Fingertips)

Poland's maritime capital. You can visit most of these iconic spots during an easy, pleasant walk straight from our apartment!

• Kościuszko Square & Southern Pier: The bustling heart of the city’s waterfront. Docked here are two legendary museum ships: the historic tall ship Dar Pomorza and the WWII warship ORP Błyskawica. At the end of the pier, you’ll find the fascinating Gdynia Aquarium.

• Śródmieście Beach & Seaside Boulevard: The perfect place for morning coffee, sunbathing, or a scenic two-kilometer stroll right along the waves of the Bay of Gdańsk.

• Kamienna Góra: A viewpoint right in the center of Gdynia. You can walk up or take the free funicular railway to enjoy panoramic views of the city, bay, and port.

• Gdynia Orłowo (approx. 10 mins by SKM train): The most romantic spot in Gdynia, featuring a charming wooden pier and the breathtaking, steep Orłowo Cliff.

• Emigration Museum: A modern, interactive museum housed in the historic Marine Station. A must-see for fans of history and architecture.

⛱️ Sopot (Resort Vibe – approx. 15 mins by SKM train)

Leave your car at the apartment—the SKM train gets you here faster and saves you the hassle of parking!

• Sopot Pier: The longest wooden pier in Europe (over 500 meters!), offering stunning views of the iconic Grand Hotel and the bay.

• Monte Cassino Street ("Monciak"): Poland’s most famous pedestrian street, packed with top restaurants, cozy cafes, and nightlife. It's also home to the famous, photo-worthy Crooked House (Krzywy Domek).

• Forest Opera (Opera Leśna): A unique covered open-air amphitheater hidden in the forest, famous for hosting legendary music festivals.

🏛️ Gdańsk (History & Wonder – approx. 35 mins by SKM train)

Direct SKM train ride from Gdynia Główna station straight to Gdańsk’s Old Town.

• Main Town (Old Town): Take a walk down the Royal Route (Długa Street & Long Market). Here you’ll see the iconic Neptune Fountain, the majestic Main Town Hall, and the massive medieval Crane over the Motława River.

• Museum of the Second World War & European Solidarity Centre (ECS): Two world-class, state-of-the-art museums that leave a lasting impression on visitors from around the globe.

• Oliwa Park & Cathedral: A gorgeous park located in the green district of Gdańsk Oliwa. Don't miss the chance to hear a stunning pipe organ demonstration in the cathedral, featuring famous moving figurines.

🌲 Beyond the City (Your Gateway to Kashubia & the Hel Peninsula)

Gdynia Główna station is just steps away—your ticket to the most beautiful regions of the coast.

• Hel Peninsula (Hel, Jastarnia, Jurata): Reached by a direct train from Gdynia or (highly recommended in summer!) by a scenic water tram across the bay. At the tip of the peninsula, visit the famous Seal Center.

• Kashubian Switzerland (approx. 45–60 mins by car or train): A picturesque region of rolling hills, pristine lakes, and deep forests. Visit Szymbark (famous for its Upside-Down House), climb the lookout tower at Wieżyca, or rent a kayak on the Radunia River.

• Rewa & Mechelinki (approx. 20 mins drive): Charming fishing villages just outside Gdynia. Rewa is famous for its unique sandy spit stretching into the sea and is a top spot for kitesurfing.
